Unlock PIN

If you enter the wrong PIN 5 times in a row, your M-PESA account will be locked. You can however unlock it using USSD *334#. 

To unlock your PIN: 

  1. Dial *334# 
  2. Select My Account 
  3. Select M-PESA PIN Manager 
  4. Choose M-PESA PIN Unlock 
  5. Enter your ID number 
  6. You’ll receive a message confirming your PIN is now unlocked. 

Important to note: 

  • If you need to reset your PIN after unlocking, follow the SMS prompts you’ll receive. 
  • When your PIN is locked, both the M-PESA and MySafaricom Apps will always prompt you to enter your ID number before you can proceed with any transactions.
