2020

Safaricom and Vodacom team up for M-PESA

Safaricom and Vodacom gain full control of the M-PESA brand from Vodafone through a joint venture to accelerate M-PESA’s growth in Africa.

2015

M-PESA Foundation launched

M-PESA foundation Academy is launched in support of talented but disadvantaged students. KCB M-PESA and Webcare are also launched.

Profits go past 20 Billion mark
