M-PESA Bulk Payment
The M-PESA Business-to-Business (B2B) Payment service lets your organization make payments to other businesses directly through M-PESA. To use this service, you’ll need an existing M-PESA shortcode from which the payment will be made. The M-PESA Bulk Payment service (Business to Customer – B2C) allows your organization to send money to multiple individuals instantly, at the click of a button.
Use it to make payments like salaries, dividends, SACCO disbursements, or any other bulk transfers directly from your M-PESA shortcode to your recipients’ mobile phones.
Through the M-PESA web administration system, you can easily monitor and manage all your transactions in real time. You’ll also be able to download payment statements for your records. Each B2C account is identified by a Shortcode and a Username.
This service is available to all public and private organizations that need to send payments to individuals. Please keep your login credentials safe and confidential at all times.
How You Can Use Bulk Payments
M-PESA Bulk Payment can be used across a wide range of services, including:
- Banks, MFIs, and SACCOs: Loan disbursements and direct withdrawals to M-PESA accounts.
- Insurance: Settlement of claims.
- Salaries: Disbursement to employees and casual workers.
- Promotions: Cash prizes and rewards.
- Business Payments: Petty cash, small supplier payments, and daily wages.
- Dividends: Annual dividend payments for listed companies.
- Government, NGOs, and FBOs: Project and workshop funds, per diems, relief, and development funds for field staff.
