With M-PESA Global, you can send and receive money worldwide, anytime, anywhere.
When you’re visiting Tanzania, Roaming Pickup makes it easy to withdraw cash straight from a Vodacom Agent. All M-PESA registered customers can withdraw from KSh 101 up to KSh 70,000.
How to Use Roaming Pickup
You can access the M-PESA Global Roaming Pickup service through these two channels:
1. Using the M-PESA App
- The M-PESA App is the fastest way to transact and explore even more services.
- Here’s how to cash out:
- Open the M-PESA App
- Tap Transact on the navigation bar
- Select Global then Roaming Pickup
- Enter the Vodacom Agent Number
- Enter the amount (minimum TSh 2,400)
- Confirm the details and enter your M-PESA PIN
2. Using USSD (*334#)
No smartphone? No worries. You can still use Roaming Pickup with USSD.
Here’s how:
- Dial *334#
- Select Send Money
- Select M-PESA Global
- Choose Roaming Pickup (option 2)
- Enter the Agent Number
- Enter the amount (minimum TSh 2,400)
- Confirm the details and enter your M-PESA PIN
