The Everyday Home series is a collection of fun ideas to keep you busy while you are keeping safe at home. We give you recipes suggestions you can try out, books to read, movies and a range of other creative things you can do during this period.

In this episode of the everyday home series, Chef Les, an executive Chef from Nyama Mama will be making Bacon and Cheddar Hassel back potatoes.

Hasselback potatoes are frequent offerings in local and international restaurants. Said to have originated at the Hasselbacken Inn, in Stockholm Sweden, these buttery treats are potato perfection, with crispy edges and creamy centres.

It’s a simple potato dish that requires a few ingredients to turn it a feast that the whole family can enjoy for lunch, dinner or even a snack.

The key to a Hasselback potato is making extremely slim slices through most, but not all, of the potato. The thinner the potato is sliced, the snappier the crispy edges and can be served with a dip, roasted meat or even salad.
