Lilian Njuguna started playing golf four years ago. But in her head. It wasn’t until last year that she got her kit and went into the course to play golf.
Lilian, who is the Senior Manager, Digital Payments, Product and Platform at M-PESA, now plays once a week and says her colleagues and friends nudged and motivated her to swing her shot in the course.
Lilian was amongst more than 100 players, 96 of them professionals, who joined the 2022 Ladies European Tour (LET) at Vipingo Ridge from February 10 to 13.
“I played with a professional golf player, Rachel Goodall from Liverpool, and learned a lot by watching her play,” she adds.
She recommends the game especially to young women and girls because aside from the fitness benefits that you get, it allows you to learn a lot about yourself as well as provides you with a platform to connect and build your networks.
